Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a privilege. We're generous with our time, gifts, and resources. God has given richly towards us and it's our honor to give back to Him. We are managers, not owners.
We choose to live openly and honestly - to be transparent with our motives and feelings. None of us are perfect and none of us have time to pretend we are. Our heart is to bring our best in every situation, and when we drop the ball (because we will), we love each other enough to correct and encourage.
Jesus said “love your neighbor.” You can’t love and be loved in isolation - so we embrace the need to connect and stay connected. You’re never more like Jesus than when you’re serving others, but its hard to serve each others needs when we don’t know each others names. Jesus said the world will know we are His followers by the love we have for one another.
The church does not exist for us. We are the church and we exist for the world. We are willing to do anything short of sin to help people find their way to God from where they are. To reach people no one else is reaching, we have to be willing to do what no one else is doing.
