Matthew 12:1-21 The Source of Burnout
“I’m burnt out.” - have you heard those words? Have you used them? We can take a vacation, use our PTO, sleep ten hours, and still be bone-level tired. Jesus offers something deeper than simply taking a break. In Matthew 12, we see the difference between a life driven by religious performance and a life sustained by relationship with Jesus. Religion leaves us constantly needing another push. Jesus offers a source of life that sustains us from the inside out. In the middle of pressure, responsibility, conflict, and even resistance, Jesus invites us to come to him, learn his way, and find rest for our souls.
